Care that fits
people and teams.

People come to us with different questions. For online care, tell us what’s going on and where you’re based; our team will check whether a remote conversation is available and suitable. For workplace support, share what your team is dealing with and what would make things better. We’ll review the details with you before anything is agreed.

Browse all FAQs
01What happens during my first online physiotherapy appointment?

The clinician may ask about your movement concern, relevant history, and goals, then discuss possible next steps. Where appropriate, they may observe movement by video. The conversation cannot include hands-on examination, and the clinician may recommend an in-person assessment if that is needed.

02Who may be suited to online physiotherapy?

Some people can discuss goals and suitable next steps remotely, but there is no single checklist that makes video care right for everyone. Suitability depends on the concern, communication and access needs, safety, preferences, and whether the assessment can be completed adequately without hands-on testing. The clinician can recommend another format when needed.

03Is online physiotherapy as effective as in-person care?

Research and professional guidance support telerehabilitation as an option for some physiotherapy needs, but findings vary by condition, intervention, and person. Online care should not be described as equivalent for everyone. A clinician can discuss whether remote sessions fit your needs and recommend an in-person assessment when appropriate.

04Can a physiotherapist assess me fully over video?

No. Video can help a clinician hear your history and observe some movements, but it cannot provide touch-based tests or every part of an in-person examination. Remote and in-person assessments should not be assumed to be interchangeable. If the available information is not enough to assess you safely, an in-person appointment or another care route may be more appropriate.

05How should I prepare for an online consultation?

Choose a private, well-lit space where you can speak comfortably. Check your device, connection, camera, and sound beforehand, and make sure there is clear space if movement may be discussed. Keep relevant reports or a medication list nearby if useful, but share only information that is relevant. Tell the team if you need an access or communication adjustment.

06What is workplace physiotherapy?

Workplace physiotherapy and rehabilitation support can help an organisation explore movement, function, and work-related needs alongside HR, EHS, and operations priorities. The right scope depends on the workforce, job tasks, locations, and goals; Goswami Rehab discusses programme details after reviewing an enquiry.

07How does nutrition relate to rehabilitation?

Nutrition is part of overall health, but needs vary with a person's health, activity, and circumstances. General guidance emphasizes a varied, balanced diet rather than a special food or supplement that promises faster recovery. For a medical condition, restricted diet, persistent difficulty eating, or an individualized plan, speak with an appropriately qualified nutrition professional or clinician.

08What is exercise physiology?

Exercise physiology examines how the body responds to physical activity and how activity can be planned around a person's goals and circumstances. An individualized plan should account for health history, current ability, preferences, and relevant precautions; general website information is not a personal exercise prescription.
